About NAAAP - Los Angeles

NAAAP History

The National Association of Asian American Professionals, Los Angeles Chapter (NAAAP Los Angeles) is an all-volunteer, Pan-Asian American 501(c)(3) non-profit professional organization that promotes the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals in all fields through networking, promoting Asian multiculturalism, and supporting diversity and community service. Founded in 2008 by an active group of servant leaders, the team of officers has continued to serve members with leadership events in all parts of Los Angeles, including:

  • West LA - UCLA, Santa Monica, Westwood, Beverly Hills, Culver City
  • Central LA - Koreatown, Beverly Hills, Mid-Town, Downtown, Little Tokyo, Little Bangladesh
  • South LA and Bay Cities - Torrance, Gardena, Cerritos, Downey, Redondo Beach
  • East LA - Rosemead, Alhambra, Monterey Park, Walnut, Temple City, City of Industry
  • North LA - Glendale, Pasadena, Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Thousand Oaks

As members become more involved in the advancement of Asian-Americans in the county, leaders are inspired to support other groups such as the Taiwanese American Professionals-Los Angeles (TAP-LA) and Asian Professional Exchange (APEX), the latter which was founded by former NAAAP members. The local chapter's evolution in the past years has helped members in far-reaching industries, from medical, professional services, financial, manufacturing, education, and many more.

As part of a national organization, NAAAP is the largest and fastest growing Asian American professional organization in the U.S. and Canada. Through its business units, members can participate in activities that bring together other Asian American professionals through community service, professional development, and networking opportunities.
